Shashidhar K C

Shri K C Shashidhar is a Development Economist by profession, joined the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) in 1981 as a Direct Recruit Grade B and held the position of the Exchange Control Officer, in the Exchange Control Dept., of RBI, and rose to the position of the Chief General Manager of NABARD.

He has also served on the Board of various banks and on Committees of the Govt. He has more than 35 years of experience in the field of management of agriculture and rural development projects.

Prof. K.C. Shashidhar is currently a Professor at the prestigious Jankidevi Bajaj Institute of Management Studies, Mumbai where he teaches among other things, Management of Innovative Projects, Public Policies relating to Banking and Finance and other related subjects.

His professional area of interest at present is mentoring entrepreneurs in the management of training, designing and implementing innovative projects in the development sectors of the economy. He has mentored many entrepreneurs in successful projects all over the country.

Dr. P Ramadas Mallya

Dr. P Ramadas Mallya, a medical graduate and rural medical practitioner has over 30 years of experience as family physician. He has arranged more than 12 health and geriatric camps as a medical consultant to NGOs. He has successfully acquired in-depth knowledge of agronomics and its role towards Indian agriculture and globalization. He has actively participated in various agro-vet practices gaining practical experience in cultivation, harvesting, processing and value addition.

He has good interface with various Research and Development Institutions all over to India to co-ordinate and synergize various commercial results into Lab to Land and Farm to Fork concepts for income generation and employ-ability of rural people through Women Self Help Groups and Farmers Association. This is through co-operative and group and collective farming to optimize land, labor, water and marketing.

He has galvanized around 2000 Woman Self-help Groups (WSHG’s) with 40,000 members to collectively participate in productive activities. His mission takes charge to mitigate poverty and avoid migration to urban places and drudgery. He is keen to assist entrepreneurs who are interested in improving rural economy and employability.

Dr. Ashok Jain

Dr. Ashok Jain graduated from Kasturba Medical College, Mangalore, one of the top medical schools in lndia in 1993 and completed his post-graduate residency in pediatrics at New York Medical College, Valhalla, NY. In 1998, he moved to Mount Sinai Hospital in Chicago and served as Chief Resident in Pediatrics and obtained Board Certification in Pediatrics. In 1999, he joined Northwestern University-Children’s Memorial Hospital as a fellow in Pediatric Cardiology. He provided healthcare services to under privileged children in Indiana and North Carolina from the year 2000 to 2003.

Dr. Jain received his MBA from Fayetteville State University in 2004. In August 2003, he started his pediatric practice, “Hope Mills Pediatrics" and extended his second practice in North Side Pediatrics 18 months later. Currently, he operates eight pediatric practices that employ more than 75 people.

In 2006, Dr. Jain launched the India Foundation, a philanthropic organization. The foundation has raised funds for Project “Drishti”, which provides eyeglasses or cataract surgery to needy patients in India and is also working to build a school in Rajasthan, India..

In May 2007, Dr. Jain moved to Bangalore, India to start Indus Westside Hospital. The 200-bed non-profit hospital initiated its doors in January 2010 and featured state-of-the-art technology, six operating rooms, 45 critical care beds to serve medical, trauma, surgical, cardiac, pediatric, neonatology, and patients with burn injuries. Its services include cardiac surgery, infertility/IVF, minimal access bariatric surgery, and transplant surgeries.

  • Inducted into the Eugene S. Mayer Honor Society for Community Services at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Medicine in India and USA.
  • Honored by national Medallion for Entrepreneurship award by the Beta Gamma Sigma International Honor Society.
  • Coined as leading ‘Mover and Shaker’ at the Triangle Business Convention.
  • In 2011, received certification as Physician Executive in medical management.
  • Nominated for North Carolina Business Person of the year Award.

His managerial skills stacks excellent record in diverse industries that include demonstrated competencies in Strategic Planning, Product Launch, Business Expansions, Operations Management, Organization Building, Relationship Management, Quality Systems Audit, Inventory & Cost Control etc.

He has served 23 years of his tenure in the corporate world that encompass consumer and industrial product companies and MNCs like Panasonic, Henkel AG, Loctite Corporation, Vam Organic Chemicals Ltd., and AC Nielsen-ORG.

He has conducted training for various Indian and international marketing professionals and business partners. For over a decade, he has also served as Professor of Management by associating with many B-Schools to mold future managers. He has been a resource person for AICTE for its Faculty Development Programs and with Ministry of Small and Medium Enterprise (MSME), Government of India, for its Entrepreneurial Development Programs.

He holds a Graduate Degree in Psychology, Economics and Sociology and a Post Graduate Degree in Public Relations and a MBA in Marketing from Mumbai University.
